1999 sienna mini van

I have this rig and it needs a new hydraulic pump. Not uncommon for these vans. I would much rather
convert the steering to something else. I looked into electric over hydraulic but there are no cost effective ways to do that. The other option would be go back to a rack and Pin. set up maybe with an electric assist..if that even exists. Has anyone been down this road and what did you do????
The van is low mileage

There is no way you are going to convert a steering system on a vehicle to something that was not engineered into the vehicle originally. You should just look at what parts are needed and repair!

I agree, it makes more sense to repair/replace what you have then try to re engineer it.
