09 hhr fuel line

09 hhr fuel line has rusted out. it is in a bad place to get at. the original line is steel and was wondering what material to use to repair or splice it that is flexible and will connect to the steel. looked at plastic but doesn/t seem to be available in my area in 5 to 6 foot pieces. also need recommendations on adapters from steel to whatever. can you use regular gas line for the electric fuel pump hoses? I checked with autozone and orielly around here and all the seem to have is steel which would be almost impossible considering the location and all the corners involved. original lines are really expensive.

I've used rubber gas line in a pinch. It's better to replace the steel line. Brake lines work well, use a tubing bender to shape them.
