any alternator

If you match the output even roughly and can fabricate a bracket that will secure it and line up the pulley..
then you can use any smaller alternator in your small car,no?? maybe not with warranty but it could be done..?

In theory, yes. But you would need to use the same diameter pulley, the correct voltage regulator and find the proper belt to fit on all the pulleys . Just get the proper replacement for your application, it will be more cost effective in the end as some ideas are better left as just that, ideas.
