2007 Chrysler 300 Limited needs brake pads
I had a front set of brake pads wear out before I could replace them, and they got thru to one of the vented front rotors so I replaced it and the pads on both sides. I took a look at the rear brake pads and they are thin and should be replaced as well. The rear rotors on my car are solid, unvented rotors. I have two different sets of pads from NAPA to use. A set that are semi metalic, pads and a set of ceramic pads. Does it make a difference for use on solid rear rotors which type of pad to use? from the look of them they appear to be the same shape and size.

The style of rotor is based on the brake performance requirements with the front providing around 70% of the braking capacity so that is why they are different.
Pads are usually the same material front and rear but since you already have a brake imbalance having different pad materials wont cause any performance issues!

The nice thing about ceramic pads is they create less brake dust [or maybe it's just harder to see] which makes it easier to keep your wheels clean.

Chrysler 300 Brake Pads
Since the driver is already unbalanced. I will move forward with the NAPA dealer's recs. I will just keep stopping to a minimum!

Thanks to Jessa Dee for checking with your friend! I have the ceramic pads installed on the back brakes, and they are working fine so far. Car is more like a storage unit than transportation now, and It will survive, and stop when I need it to.
