RainX wiper install obstucts my vision
My recent visit for a new heater to the repair stop added on new wiper blades. It was only after the car pickup that I saw that these RainX wipers came with big lumps at the armature for the J-hook on my old Hyundai Elantra.
You've probably seen them: Something like this
https://www.rainx.com/product/rain-x...-wiper-blades/
I had my own replacement wiper blades but it was one of those things during the call back on the estimate for heater that you just want to get through and over with. So I OK' ed these RainX super wipers (not cheap either I found out) unseen. I can't say what the exact model is either. These super wipers have a cap end so the rubber blade can't slide out. Some RainX are called ' 2-way' so if possible I'm looking for the a standard J-hook position which lays flat.
My question is, is there a piece like that knuckle shaped add-on snap on piece used with the standard J-hook like on the old RainX?
This vision thing is the raised lump on each arm that is above the sight line. It's just totally distracting.
Frankly if I go back to the repair shop I want to know what I'm talking about. They're on and paid for.
Worst case is I put the ones I had already on instead.

Those look very much like the "J" style Bosch wipers I have been using for years. Guessing with time the large covered J hook will not be as new!

Having trouble understanding your issue. Is the height and width of the new blades (the part of the blade you see when the blade is sweeping across the windshield) that much different compared to the old. The off position of the new blades should be the same as the old blades unless the arm was removed to replace blades.
