2016 Honda CRV Turing

I went to get gas and the gas door did not open. I tried to pull the lever a few times and the end part of the cable came out. The cable is broken. Can anyone point me in the right direction with a diagram of how to replace the cable that opens the outside door to the gas cap?

I found this video and felt it was a good fix. But the car is my wife's and we are going to keep it for about 4 more years. Of course, what comes next is NO WAY AM I GOING TO DO THAT TO GET GAS. So does anyone have a diagram or info on how to replace the cable? I was thinking of just replacing about a foot or two from the level under the dash. I would use the original cable (the part that goes to the lever) and somehow make some sort of mechanical connection. The problem is I do not know how to take off the parts under the dash and or floor to get at the cable. I am making a big assumption that the cable is one piece, going from front to back. Really do not know?

BOB1934 - A new Honda CR-V fuel door release cable is only $12.78.

The Honda original equipment Part Number is: 74411-T1W-A01

To replace the cable requires a few steps including removing some trim. Your local Honda dealer or any body shop can replace it.

3 hour job at the dealer....
I think it takes more like 1 to 2 hours with a cost of $50 to $100.

I suspect a non-dealer body shop would replace it in less than an hour for less than $50 if you gave them the new cable.
