Question overheating

Hi i have a 1993 jeep grad c, that overheated, on the road.
I took it to the shop they said the raditor would not hold water because of a crack, they also started it and it sounded fine
the oil was checked it was not milkey,my concern is that there might be other damage the shop whould not say intill the new raditor is in.almost all the water was gone , i think we got it off the road in time, it went from fine to bad in less then 3 miles.
do you have any ideas. thanks

You don't mention which engine you have but both the 4.0 and the 318 used that year I believe have iron heads, so the chances of wiping out the heads are pretty slim.

Should be ok with a new radiator.
