no fuel pressure

I have a 99 chrysler LHS. the fuel pump comes on for a breef second when you turn on the ignition but does not stay on for the three seconds that is is supposed to i have air in the line with just a little gas at the fuel rail. it does not have an inline fuel filter it is in the tank with the pump, want to know if their is anything easy to check or if i should change the fuel pump.

Must check the fuel pressure with a reliable hand held gauge before condemning the pump. Could be a stuck or faulty relay that won't trigger it.

Also this is a 1999 car. Chances are it might be covered by the factory warranty

Go to Autozone and rent an OBDII scanner and check for trouble codes which may be part of your problem.

overheating

Hi i have a 1993 jeep grad c, that overheated, on the road. I took it to the shop they said the raditor would not hold water because of a crack,they also started it and it sounded fine the oil was checked it was not milkey,my concern is that there might be other damage the shop whould not say intill the new raditor is in.almost all the water was gone , i think we got it off the road in time, it went from fine to bad in less then 3 miles. do you have any ideas. thanksRead More

1983 GMC 3500 Cube Van-{back-up/reverse lights not working}

Can someone be so kind to tell me how this model "cube van's" reverse light switch operates when you put transmission into "reverse"? I presently have no reverse lights and I just changed the (2) # 1156 "back-up bulbs". Is there a wire that some how connects to the transmission also in order to activate the "reverse lights" when you put the truck in gear? I just recently purchased this "cube van". The motor and the 400 Turbo Hydra-matic Transmission were probably taken out at one time for sure. I thought they may have neglected to hook a "back-up switch" up or something like it. I'd like to have the "reverse lights" working as soon as possible as I use this truck alot at night. Thanks, BonesRead More
