Ford 302 engine oil pressure
My '86 F-150 has the 302 engine. The oil pressure gauge indicates low pressure. I suspect the oil pressure relief valve. If it has one, where is it and is it accessible from outside the engine? When I start the engine in the morning the lifters really rattle.

Whoa Nelley.
Never trust the dash gauge. It's optimistic at best. Especially Ford. They have a dummy resistor running the gauge on some years.
Check the oil pressure with a reliable hand held gauge (any parts store sells or rents them) and see if matches the published spec for the truck. If it does, replace the oil sending unit, which might be the cause for the low pressure.
If the oil pressure reading from the hand held gauge doesn't check out, possibly a bad oil pump or clogged pick up tube.
