1995 nissan 200sx

I own a 1995 200sx, 5 speed. While driving when the engine would get above 4,000 RPM the RPM would then skyrocket just like I was pusing in the clutch, and I would barely ant acceleration. I thought the clutch was just slipping. But now it is much worse. I do not get barely any acceleration and the engine pretty much just revs with very little response as far as movement from the car. I am wondering if i can ajust the clutch to make it better or if I should go have it looked at by a pro....thanks

Not sure of the actual question....

Does the vehicle race only on this condition. Does the idle hunt?

Hunting idle is usually related to a bad idle air control valve or gunk in the throttle body, among other issues.
