Installed doublePlatinum plugs, new fuel & airfilters. did all the cleaning advised to do.Changed Transmission fluid. It runs great and reduced fuel consumption by 20% Now after idling for a few minutes it" surges" of "lunges" not every time but more than 50%. What have I done? What can I do?
You have helped before know you can again. Thanks, Deltadude

It sounds like a vacuum leak, or some sort of intermitent connection...but I'm not a "real" mechanic...

Surging at idle ("hunting") on most Fords is a bad idle air control valve or gunk in the throttle body.

Look at my post "The Basics" and run the code check as outlined at www.batauto.com

BTW: Regular Motorcraft plugs listed for this would have been fine. No need to shell out the greenbacks on those expensive plugs
