Van won't start

My son-in-law got stuck and his van wouldn't start. We towed it to my place. His van is an 88 Dodge Caravan 4 cyl 2.5 liter eng. I can get it to turn over but it won't continue to run. When I spray dry gas into the injector housing it will run. Since all electrical components are new, Plugs, wires distr etc. Ive concluded that it is a gas problem. My question is to determine if this is the fuel pump , gas filter or something else? Additionally, where are these items located. I thank you in advance for your assistance. PS The car has a full tank of gas.

This could have both problems, a fuel pump and or a plugged
filter. Try beating on the bottom of the fuel tank, this is where the
pump is.I work for a chrysler dealer. This sometimes works to get
the vehicle to start. It's worth a try. we have replaced a lot of
fuel pumps in that era of caravans.....

Also, the fuel injector connector (the TBI injectors) are virtual gum on Chryslers and are easily "tweaked"

Use a noid light at the injector (a couple of bucks at any parts store) and see if the light pulses when you crank it.

If not, an electrical problem to the injector, not a fuel problem .

Check that and the other guy's suggestion BEFORE changing the fuel pump
