I JUST PUT STAIN OVER AN UNFINISHED CHAIR. IT LOOKS OKAY, BUT I'VE DECIDED I WANT IT DARKER. I HAVEN'T PUT POLYURETHANE ON IT YET, BUT IT HAS BEEN OVER 24 HRS SINCE I PUT THE STAIN ON. WOULD IT BE OKAY TO GO AHEAD AND PUT ANOTHER COAT OF STAIN ON THE FIRST ONE? WOULD I NEED TO SAND ALL THE FIRST COAT OFF, SAND SOME, OR JUST PUT ANOTHER COAT ON?

First check the ignition system. Cap, rotor, wires, coil, plugs should all be in good working order. If they're all ok, suspect a failed CPI unit. Very very very common on these engines. Expensive too!
