Gauge sticks on full. sometimes it moves after I've driven
for awhile but most of the time it just stays on the full mark

probably Normal.

Most GM cars take a long time to come off the full mark when completely filled. Then they will drop more rapidly from 3/4 downward.

If you say it takes about 115 miles or so to come off of full, that's about right on most GM's (providing it isn't a car like my 79 Trans Am . It takes about 2 miles to take it off of full. Lol).
