Unhappy 91' Ford F-150 oil leaks?

Hi,
I own a 91' Ford F-150 extra cab 4x4 with the 5.0L motor. It currently has 157,000 miles on it,and basically has been a good truck.
My question is over the years,I've had quite a few oil leaks on this motor. The right valve cover gasket (expensive!),Left valve cover gasket, and also oil pan gasket.I relize it has alot of miles on it now,but these leaks were early on....
I change the oil and filter every 3,000 miles, and take care of it well.
Are oil leaks, and gaskets a common problem on this motor???
It seems unusual to me to have that many oil leak problems, under 100,000 miles?????
Thanks, Charlie

Also Do you feel "Autolite"m plugs are the best in this engine???

Factory Motorcraft plugs are fine for this.

Oil leaks occur as gaskets dry out and engines get old, so yes it is normal.

Yes, the big V8's were common for leakage early on, but it's not something that's major critical.
