Question Tires?

Hi,
I own a 1991 Ford F-150 4x4 extended cab,with the 5.0L motor.
It currently has 157,000 miles on it,and is in good cond.
The current tires are getting very worn.
Iam shopping for new ones and found PepBoys tire prices to be very cheap..
They tell me they are made by "Copper",with their house brand name on them.Does anyone have any experience with these tires? (LT 235-75R15).
Or am I better off sticking with a Brand and paying more? What brands are good truck tires?Iam looking for a good "All-Season"
Highway tread,in the above size. Thanks, Charlie

I'm familiar with Pepboys tires and they are made by Cooper.
I would recommend them, and i currently have a set of them on my 2 wheel drive truck and they've done great. For the price i don't feel you can go wrong. Also as they probably told you for about $5.00 a tire they'll warranty them against anything that will cause a flat:nails, bolts, misuse, etc.

I have posted numerous times about the way to buy tires, by the numbers.

Look up some of my posts on them. In short, you want the best attributes of Treadwear, Traction and Temperature.

The latter two are rated in terms of A, B, and C. A is the best.

The first, treadwear is rated in a number. The higher the better.

The tire that has the best attributes of all three is the best buy.

I believe PEP Boys also sells a brand called Cordovan. These are great tires. Good prices, and wear like iron. All A ratings per Joe's post./ Competitive brands like Michellin and Dunlop are 2x's the price.

I believe R&S Strauss sells that brand, but perhaps Pep Boys does as well.
