Son`s Truck

My son has a 95 S-10 with V6. Today he washed the engine, it ran rough for a while, stalled, and now will not start. Any good start point tips?

MOST LIKELY YOUR DISTRIBUTOR CAP HAS MOISTURE IN IT. YOU MIGHT REMOVE IT AND DRY IT OUT WITH A HAIR DRYER OR SIMPLY REPLACE THE CAP AND ROTOR. HOPE THIS HELPS.

I agree, computer controlled engine management systems and moisture do not get along....if drying the cap out doesn't help he'll have to start unplugging some of the electrical connectors on the engine and firewall and make sure these connections are dry.....odds are if he lets it sit overnight it will run again in the morning, but he should refrain from actually "washing" the engine, this could become costly, especially if it shorts out the computer.....good luck.....

Yup, something got wet.

Could also have bad ignition wires which are old and are taking on the moisture.
