Starting Problem

I have a Mercury Sable with 3.8 liter engine in it. The last couple of morning I have had touble with it starting. It turns over but does not fire. It sputters then finally fires up. Once it has started in runs great. This moring I just about ran the battery dead trying to start it, left for a while then it finally start, again once running it was fine. Any ideas? We have been have a lot of warm and then cold weather maybe water in fuel?

Added dry gas and everything seems to be working fine.

Changes in temperature can cause problems with summer and winter fuel blends.

Ford had issued a bulletin some time ago about this. Not much can really be done from what I remember.

Try to get fuel from a place that moves a lot of volume so you don't get stuck with stale fuel.
