changinging the Iroc ignition lock and loom to a standerd one

i was wondering how hard it is to change the factory ignition swicth to a standerd one . one of my car buddy's side it can be done but had never done it him self. any have the info ? same info under shadow (89 Iroc , standerd shift , 350 ).

If you mean to bypass the VATS anti-theft system, you solder in a resistor of the same value as the key and bypass the system.

Check www.google.com and see if someone has the procedure.

I have seen it on the Camaro and Firebird newsgroup on which I post, you might want to check there.
