Flywheel

I have two Nissan Sentra's both are 1988 model year.
One is automatic the other is a standard shift. Both engines are
1.6.
What I'am trying to find out is if the flywheel from the standard
will fit the crank of the engine that has the automatic trannsmission.

Thanks

they both should bolt up to either crank, but the flywheel in the standard trans and the flexplate in the automatic are two completely different critters, you cannot replace a flexplate with a flywheel for use on the automatic....if repairing the auto trans car, you will have to get a new flexplate for it.....if you're swapping the engines from one car to the other it won't be a problem......not sure of your intentions here....

Mooser is right.

Might have to go with a used one or a new one from the dealer if it's wiped out.
