Unhappy 92chevy silverado horn

I recently bought a 92 chevy silverado the horn doesen't work I have checked the fuse, replaced the horn relay and directly connected the horn to the battery, the horn is good. can anyone please give me any ideas or info. the reverse lights stay on also.

Possible that the contacts need to be cleaned in the steering wheel. Not sure what the horn cover/button looks like on that truck, but remove it and look at whatever contacts there are that close to make the connection and try cleaning them.

according to Chilton's manual, this year Silverado could be equipped with optional driver's side airbag...

WARNING...if this truck has driver's side airbag this repair is better left to a technician who can disable the system...

setting off the airbag can be very dangerous, not to mention extremely expensive to have re-installed...

if there is no airbag, removal of the center cap to access the horn ring is pretty straightforward, check info on the proceedure at www.autolibrary.com

Good catch, mooser; I was figuring a '92 would be too old for bags.
