I just can't seem to find a decent price on a used, but decent, rear bumper. I want a chrome one, and don't mind a few scratches or so. Anyone know a good place to find one online?

What should I expect to pay?

And is a roll pan a bad idea? I rarely tow anything, plus roll pans are half the price of real bumpers.

Try putting your request on www.junkyarddog.com

I would go for a new one from GM if the truck is worth keeping.

Aftermarket replacements from places like Goodmark Industries, Sherman Associates and other aftermarket outlets are another option but the original GM ones are the best.

Thank'ya Joe!

Any reason why you recommend OEM over an aftermarket (such as the "drop" style)? My truck is kinda special to me, as it is in superb shape though old. When the V6 gets old I'm going to turn it into a project truck to hot rod. And I'm gonna buy a brand new one just like it to use as a normal daily driver.

Because it:

1) Fits better.
2) Looks better.
3) Lasts longer.
4) And belongs there.

Enough said on a truck you want to keep for a long time
