1990 ford tempo/ ball joint repair

lookin for info on repairing ball joints on 1990 ford tempo.
how difficult is this job and where can I find info to do it myself?

invest in a Hayne's or Chilton's service manual for your vehicle, about 17 bucks at most auto parts stores.....

I believe on this car it might be the whole lower arm with the joint. Moog and TRW offer it in their lines...check with any parts store.

I agree with Mooser on the manuals.

Joe_F is right...the lower ball joints are serviced as a complete lower control arm/joint assembly on these cars.

They're not terribly difficult to replace as long as the sway bar/strut rod nut isn't especially rusty.

As mooser said, pick up a Haynes manual...it'll tell you everything you need to know for this repair & many others.
