fan belt

How do you remedy a fairly new sqealing fan belt besides using soap, belt dressing, and repalcing the belt all together? The fan belt is a Gates.

I've yet to see this fail=Die electric grease.The stuff you put on ignition components.Hard to believe ain't it.Just put a small amount that's all it takes.

Pitch the belt for a new one and find the cause of the squealing. Misaligned pulleys, dirty pulleys, bad tensioners, etc will cause belt woes.

No witch's brew in a bottle to fix a glazed/squeaking belt. If it's four years old, you should pitch it anyhow...time for a replacement.
