Unhappy Power Locks
I have a 97 Mercury Villiager that is giving me a problem with the power locks. Some times the passenger side door will not unlock with the keyless entry or the power button inside. That has been happening for a while and now the sliding door is beginning to do the same thing. Some times you can hear a repetative ticking noise in the front door like something is spinning. Got any suggestions?

Sounds like one or more power door lock actuators is failing. Not a terribly uncommon problem & not especially expensive or difficult to repair.

That's very true.

This vehicle is the Mercury equivalent to the Nissan Villager, so you can probably buy parts without the Ford markup and save a few bucks.
