1995 dodge dakota

My truck is a v6 automatic with overdrive standard duty.When it is cold out in the morning it rev's higher than normal to shift from second to third.Also,one morning it shifted from second into a neutral state until i reved the engine a couple of times and it popped in. Do you no what the problem is? PS.:fluid is clean & FULL

Check www.alldata.com for known bulletins on this problem...sounds like the beginnings of internal failure.

Chrysler (and to their credit, not all their transmissions are of their designs) trannies are gum. I know a guy that installed a Mopar rebuilt in a Dakota only to have it grenade in 500 miles. He had to eat the labor twice and fight with Chrysler for parts credit.
