Auto Repair

My drivers side car seat is broken in my 1996 Chrysler Cirrus. The back of it is tilting to the right side. Is there a way to repair this problem without buying a new seat

Type of vehicle?

Generally not, the seat frame or brackets are probably broken. Sometimes they can be welded, but it might be cost effective to buy another seat from a junked vehicle.

Go to www.junkyarddog.com to put in a used parts request.

The seat can *usually* be disassembled and repaired for about the same price (often less) as a used seat would cost if the seat frame is broken. Some seat manufacturers mold the foam cushion directly to the frame. These seats cannot be repaired for a reasonable price. Check w/ your local auto upholstery shop to see if your seat can be repaired for a reasonable price.
