'93 Lumina APV VERY STRANGE stalling, starting problem

This Lumina has a 3.1 liter engine and about 94.000 miles. The problem is that it will run perfectly and then without warning stalls. When you try to restart it the engine will turn over fine but it acts as if it is not getting any fuel. Now for the strange part, I can take a spark plug wire off, insert a screwdriver in the end of the wire and arc it off the frame while someone is turning the engine over and it will start every time. It has a fuel injected Throttle body.
Has anyone seen this happen before?
