Question oxygen sensor 88 s-10 2.8L v6

cannot find oxygen sensor on this truck. traced the pipe on the drivers side back and forth, still confused. Can mal-adjusted timing cause quick fouling of the Oxygen sensor? Or will idle become normal after sensor replacement?

It looks like a spark plug with a wire coming out of it.

It should be in the exhaust manifold of the truck or down the pipe leading to the converter.

Probably won't correct the idle issue (that's usually a bad idle air control valve or dirt in the throttle body), but you should change the sensor as a matter of course.
