turn signal

hi, i have a honda civic 1996 and i have a problem with my turn signal. It wont automatically swith off when i turn ihave to maunually turn it off. It used to happen intermittently but the recent episode has been present for 3/4 months. Is there anything i can do to fix it myself ?

That's probably going to involve pulling the steering wheel, not really a D-I-Y, especially with air bags which can basically kill you if you're not careful.

Whatever returns the lever is at fault. Typically on GM cars, it is a 50 cent return spring and is a fairly easy repair. Most foreign cars have sealed turn signal switches and the entire switch has to be replaced...such are the "benefits" of owning a foreign car

LOL, Joe. One of the other companies down here says "we don't want an arm or a leg, we just want your 'tows'".
