Heater turns cold and can't use key to unlock driver's door

I have a 1989 Buick Century with automatic door locks. After trying to use a random key to try to unlock the drivers door (keys locked inside), now I cannot unlock the drivers door with the correct key. Can it be fixed? Also, if I keep sliding the Heat/Cold switch back and forth, I can finally get the air to turn hot from cold, but then after a few minutes it will turn cold again. Whats wrong?

Putting the wrong key in the lock likely jammed the tumblers and ruined it. Get a new lock from a locksmith keyed to the original.

As for the other issue, sounds like a problem with the blend door/cable. Have to take it apart and have a look to see if the cable is hung up or weak/frayed.
