93 Plymouth Grand Caravan Van 6cyls

Please let me know where the map sensor is located on this 93 ply van. How does one know if it is functioing correctly? Is it a part that must be changed at certain mileage intervals? My van has 85,000 miles and runs okay. I thank you in advance for your help.
Is it possible to increase mpg on a well tuned car?

MAP sensor location depends on which engine is in your van.

Do you have a 3.0L or a 3.3L ?

A failed MAP sensor should set a code in the ECM, kick on the "Check Engine" light, possibly destroy the catalytic convertor and cause your engine to run poorly and get extremely poor fuel economy.

Can fuel economy be increased on a well tuned engine?

It depends...

You'll get the best fuel economy if you keep your car clean, tires properly inflated, keep up with routine maintenance and drive with a light foot.

If you're already doing these things, there's not a whole lot you can do to increase fuel economy
