1990 Toyota Camry

I was recently given a car from a relative! It is a 1990 Toyota Camry. It was driven over 150 miles to my house ,it could not go faster than 55 mph,it used a tank of gas in a little over 100 miles.I have'nt done any checks yet ,just need to have an idea of where to start?Any help would be heartfelt.

First, give it a full tuneup: plugs, wires if needed, air filter, fuel filter, coolant service, and anything else you see that it needs upon a good inspection. That may solve your problem. When you first acquire a vehicle, it's good to do this to eliminate all the things that normally are expected to fail in time. If you continue to have problems, we'll go from there. Let us know!

I agree with Cheese. Start with the Basics and go from there.
