97 Aerostar Oil Pump Replacement

Trying to replace a bad oil pump in a 97 Aerostar. I'm having trouble removing the Bell Housing Dust Cover, the manual just says to remove it to get the oil pan off but doesn't explain how. Anyone have a clue?

Not sure which engine and tranny you have, but I believe the starter has to come off, and there are maybe 2 more small bolts holding the cover on. once you remove them, the cover should pull straight downward. Should be fairly simple.

God bless!
