Probably a stuck solenoid or glazed brushes inside. Or, if vacuum operated, a bad switch.

Check the archives here for a link furnished by Knuckles on how to rejuvinate the solenoid if so equipped.

Look up "glazed brushes" for instance in the search function of this forum. Knuckles posted a link on how to inspect and restore the solenoid. The problem is likely here and is worse if the 4WD is sparingly used.

Did the problem start after you replaced all those parts? Do the hubs automatically lock or do you have to engage them yourself?

Sound like you goofed on the reinstallation on the locking hubs. Get a diagram of the parts in a manual and dissasemble and you will probably see your problem. The locking hub has to be phased right.. been a long time since i did one but I believe I goofed on one before.

Good luck, Mistakes can be the best experience
