1988 buick pk ave. 3800 fi auto

thi is the follow up to original ? car runs and idles fine sometimes and when it is not it idles errattic and hesitates some what on the go. if i get downd on it and get the rpms up it will run ok for a while then i have to do the same thing. i run in dr to keep rpms up and not lug it. i have tried wires, plugs ox sen. fuel filter,coil pk. it was suggested to try mas air sen, which i did , but same thing? unless i got a bad one, which is a used one.

Could have gotten a bad used one yes. You can send out your original (or the used one) for testing through an auto parts store before buying one.

Also, have you checked the fuel pressure? Checked the ignition system?
