Don't recall the parking brake setup on a Tacoma, but there'll be a switch somewhere near the handle/lever. May just be sticking from dirt and crud or may need replacement.

Is it an emergency brake light warning or a combination emerg. brake and brake fluid level/pressure light. Have seen this in many vehicles..
If combination, check the brake fluid level. A low fluid level can indicate that there is a leak in the system or that it is time for brake work.
If just an emerg. brake light, should be a simple switch that turns on off the light. Check the switch with an ohm meter to see if it is working properly. It should supply a ground to the Instrument cluster to turn the light on.

Good luck

I agree. Check the brake fluid level. Probably low due to worn pads/shoes or a hydraulic issue. Fix it right away.
