87 Mazda 626 Will not start

Hi,

I have a 1987 Madza, 626 (no turbo) that will not start. The engine turns because the starter works, but still it does not start.
I have tried to start the car giving it a boost but still it does not start. I have change the air filter, the oil filter, gas filter, but still no start. I install a new distributor rotor, a new distributor cap, new wires and new spark pulgs (4) and still it does not start. I installed a new ignition coil and clean the battery terminals and still it does not start. It does have gas and gas is coming up thru the gas filter both new and old but still no start.

I have tried to unplug one of the sparkpulg cable to see if there is a spark, but I do not see any spark.

Can anyone help?

Likely a bad ignition module/ignitor if you don't have spark.

Timing belt could also be broken.

Check my post "The Basics" among others below for a start.
