Hi Everyone

It's time to look for a new car - anyone have feedback on any of these (2002 models)? Good, bad or indifferent + problems & plus's.

Thanks All

Not at all inappropriate. I'll give you my .02.

The new Toyota Corolla feels cheap compared to the 1993 to 1997 vintage ones. I have driven my neighbor's 2001 Corolla Type S and it was pretty chincy in most regards. I was pretty suprised. The Corolla has a pretty good track record.

I do not like Nissan products and never did. That's enough for me on that one .

Honda screws together a nice little car, but heaven help you when it does break...it will soak you. Parts are high in price and labor is high because things tend to be tightly packed in there. 60k timing belt replacements on most Hondas are the norm.

The Saturn is ok, but they tend to be rough and crude and could use a little more refinement. Serviceability is quite easy in most cases.

I don't like most small cars, no matter who makes 'em frankly. I would upgrade to something a bit bigger. Old Joe likes comfort, room and some degree of strength around him .

Thanx Joe

Actually it's for a second car - even though you don't like them, I drive a Pathfinder and LOVE it - gonna keep it for a few more years, but need a second set of wheels...

We'll see if I get any more opinions...

Regards

Howie
