Fuel injectors in a 1996 toyota- when to replace?

How long should fuel injectors last in a 1996 toyota? I remember when fuel injection first came out the injectors used to clog. But I don't hear about that much anymore. Do they ever need to be changed; like spark plugs?

Fuel injectors are quite reliable. It is likely that Toyota will hit the junkyard with the same set in it .

No need to replace them until fault is found.

The Nippondenso fuel injector design used in Toyota is very reliable.

Even in the past, clogging of fuel injectors was due to poor quality fuel and maintenance more so than a design issue.

Using good quality fuel and changing your fuel filter regularly still applies as does routine maintenance on a modern car.
