81 Buick Regal problems

Just last week the modulator was replaced and a few months ago the coil and the rotor were replaced. My car is currently jerking slightly when it remains in a constant speed (almost like it wants to stall out), especially at a speed of 45mph or higher.

Need to know the engine size for starters...many engines available in this Regal in 1981.

Also need to know other maintenance to it. Could have converter lock up troubles, or other mechanical difficulties.

Start with the links and posts in my signature file, provide us with more information and we'll go from there.

If the engine size is a 3.8 liter V6 engine, don't waste much time, effort or money into it. It is a poor engine design. Pitch it for another one with the 4.3 V8 or other V8 engine used in those years...much more reliable.

Also do you mean the IGNITION module or the TRANSMISSION modulator?
