95-MX6 Ticking could be lifters, how do I adjust/replace them?

I have a ticking noises in my engine. It is a constant noise, but it is not a nock. I was told that it was probably my lifters and I was wondering how I would go about adjusting the clearance(?) or replace them. All that I know is that they are under the valve cover. Could anyone give me a good list of instructions for this process, or maybe just some good advice? Thanx- Jesse

If they are hydraulic, they don't require adjustment. That being said if they do require adjustment, check the links in my signature file or pick up a manual to guide you through adjustment. They may need to be cleaned or replaced to quell the noise.
