Brake light question........

I recently bought a partially restored 1969 Chevelle and only ONE of the brake lights works.. All the exterior lighting works except for that one brake light....

Its a dual filament bulb and the turn signal portion of the light works....

I have replaced both of the brake lights...

Any tips, suggestions, hints?

Check for loose wires going into the bulb socket assembly and also corrosion inside. Make sure the connections are solid. I had this happen on my '69 camaro.

Have you checked continuity in the wire.I have seen many vehicles of this vintage that had open areas in the wire due to age.Check the ohms fom one end of wire to the other. If you have o.o ohms you'll have found your open.
