Cooling fan will not turn off

86 Honda civic 1.5 5sp
I serviced the coolant system. New antifreeze new thermostat new coolant temp. sensor because fan was not turning on now it works fine. Now the fan stays on when key is turned off and even after engine has cooled (more then 10 min. and still on). If I un plug the relay it turns off. So is it time for a new relay?

P.S If i plug the relay after few mins. it stays off unto i turn car on again.

Could be a sticking relay or car is taking longer to cool than 10 minutes.Does it ever shut off or is it continually on?Let it sit for about 15 minutes and see if it shuts down.
If not then go from there.

Well I left fan running for more then 10 mins. and it will not shut off
unto i unplug the relay then it stays off even when relay is pluged
back in. This all goes on with key off. It should not take that long
to cool engine and turn off right?

I'm not positive how the system on that vehicle works.Try the link below for further assistance. It should guide you through test procedures.Without seeing car it's hard to tell exactly what your problem is.

It likely is sticking on from a bad relay.

Let it go a maximum of 25 minutes and if it still doesn't shut off, go from there.
