Question Water Pump replacement

I own a 1997 Chev Cavalier and want to change the water pump on a 2.2 litre engine, but I can't seem to find a way to losen the belt. As well are there things I should know before proceeding, such as, will draining the anti-freeze cause a problem?

Water Pump

You know after doing 8 to 10 hours a day in the shop , for 3 decades, I could probably look that engine over and do the job.

However I learned something many years ago. Get a work shop manual. For me, they save me costly mistakes, & the customer gets a break, on the time it takes me to do the job.

Best of luck on your job ahead
