dry carb,float stuck.need advice unsticking

dry carb,float stuck.need advice unsticking

my 85 camaro(305four barrol) was parked for 15 months and the fuel evaporated,now it wont pump gas to the jets,fuel pump works fine & I tapped on float bowl with no success.Is there any way to fix without opening carb?

Not a desirable thing to do, but you may try to push compressed air into the carb through the fuel line inlet. Start off with low (5psi) pressure. You're probably going to have to open it up.

Stale fuel for 15 months of sitting. Time for a carburetor rebuild.....

The needle and carburetor insides are gummed with varnish from the stale fuel.
