air compressor lines

1992 Ford Crown Victoria V8 4.6L

I'm changing the air compressor and the bolt on the line block is stripped. Do you know a place that carries the spring lock couplings to disconnect the lines.

Any auto parts store should carry them.

I don't think a dealer would have it.
Have you tried Pep Boys?
You can even try www.advanceauto.com

Thanks for the advice Pep Boys was sold out but I went back to Murray's and talked to a different salesman and they had them.
One more question please sir. A new compressor is $250 a used one is $75 is it worth the risk or should I just spend the money my car is a 1992 and I want to get at least another year out of it then I would be finish paying for my wife car.

I personally don't like to buy used compressors.

You can gamble with the used compressor. I wouldn't sink that kind of money in an old air system like that.

You might look around to see there are rebuilt compressors out there. Might be another option.
