Ford Festiva won't start

After operating fine since new, my 88 Ford Festiva with four-speed transmission refuses to start now.

It behaves as if the clutch is not being depressed when I try to start it (everything electric comes on and works, but it will not crank or even 'click').

I suspect the neutral safety switch, but I don't know where it is located. Can you help me to locate it?

It's usually located in top of the clutch pedal. You can disconect it, then use a short wire to simulate a pushed down clutch. If the car starts, then you've found your problem. Replacing it should be simple.
