1999 Toyota Camry (4dr) - electrical problem??
I have a 1999 Toyota Camry and it has 43,000 miles on it.
I have never had any problems with this car until yesterday afternoon.
After driving the car in the morning - when I went to start the car a couple hours later-- all I got was a "click" "click" sound. It wouldn't start. Interestingly, nothing electrical would work either-- I couldn't shift- -the door locks wouldn't work, nothing would light up.
I used a jumper cable and jump started the battery off my son's truck and and it started immediately -- no effort at all. (I did not get the same response I've had in the past when the battery was dead.)
Then I drove it about 50-60 miles and when I turned the engine off and tried to re-start it--I was back to square 1. t would only "click" and the electrical was out.
One thing I did notice while I was driving it --was that when I pushed the buttons to raise and lower the front windows (pushed both at the same time) the radio temporarily went dead until I let go of the window switches.
Questions:
Could this be a fuse that needs to be replaced or maybe a computerized chip?
I am baffled.

Bad battery or a bad alternator. Have both checked for output.
Should still be covered under your factory warranty in either case (the battery may be prorated) since it is a 1999 car.
Sure you didn't leave anything on (dome lamp?)
