98 Chevy Astro

Got a wierd problem. The power windows work sometimes and sometimes they don't. Doesn't seem to be any perticular time but when it does left and right windows will not roll up or down. Been caught out in the rain several times. Never at home, so I can put a tester to check for power. Are these windows powered by a fuse or a breaker? Any help will be much appreciated. Thanks Charles

I'm going to assume the power window switch is door-mounted on the '98 Astro as it was on the older models. If that's the case, peel back the rubber boot between the van body & driver's door & inspect for broken wires. It's very common & causes a bunch of intermittent electrical problems.
